Process Questions

How the process works.

Timelines vary by role and firm, but most searches move from kickoff to offer within 4–10 weeks when both parties are responsive. We actively work to maintain momentum throughout — checking in with both client and candidate after every interview to keep things moving.
Not at all. Many attorneys reach out simply to understand the market, benchmark their compensation, or stay informed about opportunities. We are happy to have a confidential conversation and keep you in mind as relevant positions arise — even if you're not actively looking right now.
We stay in touch. We check in after you start your new role to make sure things are going well, and many of our placed candidates become long-term relationships — returning to us years later for their next move, or referring colleagues who are exploring the market.
We remain fully engaged through the offer stage. We help attorneys understand the full compensation picture — base salary, bonus structure, benefits, and upside — and coach them through the negotiation. For firms, we manage expectations on both sides to keep the process moving and prevent candidates from accepting competing offers.
